Top Ten App's For Toddlers

This Christmas P was treated to a tablet as her main present. She has not taken her eye's off it since she unwrapped it. This has meant that Little Man is now becoming more aware of the growing technology in the house and keeps asking to play on my new I phone. I'm still getting used to the phone my self and think the guys at the Carphone Warehouse are probably getting sick of me pooping in and asking questions but Little man has certainly mastered how to use the app's no problem!

To keep the peace I downloaded some new games for him and I have tried where possible to make these educational as I'm not a huge fan of children sitting on the computer. I thought I would share some of the app's we have tried so far which are doing a great job at keeping Little Man busy while I'm feeding Peanut.

Toca Kitchen Monsters- This one is part of a series of app's, the kitchen monster one is free but some priced at just £1.49. Choose your monster and help him prepare dishes to eat. Little man loves cooking the food and I used this as a good opportunity to point out what is and isn't safe for him to use in our kitchen. The app is easy to use and Little man found it easy to move the food around using his finger.
Bugs and Bunnies- Part of the Duck Duck Moose apps series, Bugs and Bunnies is a great toddler game. This was another freebie game we downloaded. Each island involves the children having to do some thing different. Little mans favorite one is finding the matching pairs, the levels on each island get harder and once you have completed the islands game a new island is unlocked.
Seek and find: My Zoo- A fun game of looking for the different animals around the Zoo. Great fun for learning animal names and noises. This one again was free but there are there's to the series with a small charge.

Peppa pig- This app is little man's favourite. Practically the same as the DS game but at a cheaper price! Little man spends hours playing this game. There are certain games such as happy Mrs Chicken which are easier to play for younger children too.

Cut the rope- A very cute game, feed the cute monster Om Nom candy by cutting the rope to catch a star. There are also some lovely little videos on there watch.

Crayola Digitools - this is a free app for children who love to coour and draw. Little man has just become attracted to the crafting boxes and this is a great app for when we don't have enough time to sit together and craft.
Little Writer -Helps your child learn how to form their letters in a fun way.  I also really like this one because it includes lowercase letters which I like to introduce them to first. Little man has just started to play with this one after I noticed that he is recognising the text has meaning. Of course his a bit young to start writing letters but it works well to practice his hand eye coordination any way.

Guess with Jess- At £1.99 this game is great fun! There are many puzzles to solve and different level which has helped Little man to get used to the game. Little man particularly enjoys the 'guess it' and 'hide and seek' games.
Horton meets a Who- I have been meaning to purchase the Dr Seuss book collection for a while. I downloaded these just for now and it's a lovely way of sharing a story with Little man while I'm feeding Peanut or for him to listen to in the car.

Rockford Opera- Although I downloaded this app for P, Little man loves listening to the music on this app. The app tells a story using music to help spark children's imagination.

I would love some more idea's of app for when he gets bored of these. What app's do your children enjoy on your i phone?
