This year I have been doing a lot of shopping from at home. Looking on line for the best bargains and getting every thing ready before the baby comes. I must admit it has made things pretty much stress free but at the same time I have got fed up of looking at the computer screen. I feel like the whole lead up to Christmas has been missed really. Usually I would have shopping trips out to get presents with my mothering law but this year I have been avoiding the shops as much as possible.
Because of this next year I have a sneaky plan to kill two birds with one stone. Cheapflights asked me to write about my favourite holiday but I have never flown before, not even across the country. Before I was married I could not really afford holidays aboard and now that I am married I have found a man who is scared of flying so it is not really an option. Next year my thought is to get a cheap flight to a European market town with the girls in the family including lady P . This would mean that we could both experience flying even if its only a short distance and also get to feel a festive experience in another country.
I think it will give P a lovely cultural experience and she has been bursting to go a on a plane so a cheap flight for a day trip would be perfect for this with out leaving the boys in the family for too long. I would love to bring home some decorations to help brighten up the home such as nut crackers or tree ornaments. We could also use this as an educational experience looking at how Christmas and the advent is celebrated in different countries. Exploring more information on line and researching a couple of places she may wish to visit as well as a few words in their language.
